These small light colored may flies were designed for the angler who would rather sleep late. Pale Morning Duns (PMDs) usually hatch mid to late morning. But, during some magic days, hatches can continue into the late afternoon. In our local rivers these hatches start in June and run into August. This pattern drifts wonderfully in the water, imitating the dunn as it emerges from the film. |

We do get that stoneflies are an easy meal with high food value and they will pull even the largest fish out of their deep dark hiding places. The Stone, Dog Puke, Golden, Trina's is probably the most realistic adult Golden Stonefly pattern available. The extended foam body with ThinSkin shell exactly matches the color and profile of an adult egg laying Stonefly.
