Nothing in stillwater fly fishing matches the excitement of casting a big adult damsel fly to cruising hogs. The Foam Damsel Fly pattern matches a spent or crippled damsel perfectly. This Damsel pattern has strong hook and works well for Carp and many other hard fighting fish. The foam body and reinforced materials are more durable then other patterns and make the fly float very well. Try casting the FOAM DAMSEL along shorelines or shallow vegetation to cruising fish and expect some aggressive strikes.

The Brown/Silver Zebra Midge Silver Tungsten Bead is a pattern that has quickly earned great respect in the sport of fly fishing. The color of this pattern will match mayflies, midges and will work as a general attractor. This is a fly pattern that needs to be in every anglers fly box.

Green Drake, Trout Slayer

Green Drake, Trout Slayer

Your price: $1.50

These large insects are "trout candy" on our western streams - Green Drakes are large insects and evidently taste really good to trout. This pattern was custom designed by our RiverBum staff. and is the most effective pattern we have used to date. When Green Drakes hatch in good numbers the trout forget all other foods and target drakes only. In the Pacific Northwest region, look for them toward the end of the giant stonefly hatches; May & June on most rivers, but some spring creeks such as Oregon's Metolius River has strong late summer hatches as well.
