A popular and effective attrractor nymph pattern, the Chartruese Wired Bead Head Copper John has taken the fly fishing world by storm. This fly sinks quickly and can be used as a deep nymph or a dropper - fish seem unable to resist the combination of color, flash, and realistic shape. It is best fished where stoneflies and mayflies are found but will work in nearly any situation including Steelhead nymphing and even on lakes.

Griffith's Gnat

Griffith's Gnat

Your price: $1.50

The Griffiths Gnat is fly fishing's classic midge cluster pattern and has caught fish all over the world. Its simple design is buoyant and irresistable to feeding fish. This fly excels when midges are hatching and mating on all types of water. Even picky tailwater and spring creek trout will inhale this fly when nothing else seems to work.

Green Drake, Trout Slayer

Green Drake, Trout Slayer

Your price: $1.50

These large insects are "trout candy" on our western streams - Green Drakes are large insects and evidently taste really good to trout. This pattern was custom designed by our RiverBum staff. and is the most effective pattern we have used to date. When Green Drakes hatch in good numbers the trout forget all other foods and target drakes only. In the Pacific Northwest region, look for them toward the end of the giant stonefly hatches; May & June on most rivers, but some spring creeks such as Oregon's Metolius River has strong late summer hatches as well.
