This Pulsating Caddis, Tan pattern was developed by Jim Pettis, a guide on the lower Sacramento River, in 1993. The fly can be used in both streams and stillwaters. The term 'pulsating' comes from the combination of the beads and the dubbing material which give off a pulsating effect when moving within the water column. The fly can be used throughout the season from April through October. This is an extremely effective pattern wherever there are caddisflies.

Leech, Mini, Bead Head, Olive

Leech, Mini, Bead Head, Olive

Your price: $1.65

Leeches are some of the most effective stillwater and streamer patterns around and the Olive Bead Head Mini Leech is a must for your box. Olive is a color found in many natural food choices and fish will refuse it less when they are selective. Try Using a sparsely dressed leech like this pattern when more traditional patterns are off. The flash and darting action the bead gives this fly extra fish attracting qualities. Most freshwater fish find the Olive Mini Leech appetizing and they will eat it in almost any type of water.

Stonefly Nymph, Wired, Bead Head, Brown

Stonefly Nymph, Wired, Bead Head, Brown

Your price: $1.65

The Brown Wired Stonefly is certainly one of the most lifelike and effective stoneflies available. The two color segmentation and durablility of the wire body make this a favorite among stonefly nymphs. The fact that big fish find this pattern irresistable only adds to its appeal. Every fly fisher should have a few of these ready to go when its stonefly time.
