This Pulsating Caddis, Tan pattern was developed by Jim Pettis, a guide on the lower Sacramento River, in 1993. The fly can be used in both streams and stillwaters. The term 'pulsating' comes from the combination of the beads and the dubbing material which give off a pulsating effect when moving within the water column. The fly can be used throughout the season from April through October. This is an extremely effective pattern wherever there are caddisflies.

Hatchling Midge, Black

Hatchling Midge, Black

Your price: $1.50

The Black Hatchling Midge is a proven pattern for midge emergers. The thin, white foam and hackle keeps the top of the fly on the surface while the body of the fly hangs from the surface film. Keep some on hand in each color and size you'll be glad you did next time "noses" start to appear sipping midge.

Egg, Salmon Egg, Pink

Egg, Salmon Egg, Pink

Your price: $1.25

The Salmon Egg Fly is a great roe pattern for waters that have spawning fish. This color will work in most conditions but is especially effective in clear water. We have found this to be a super color for catching Steelhead and Rainbow Trout. Whether you are fishing in famous Steelhead run, your local river or even the gravel point on the nearby lake, the fish have learned that these glowing orbs are an tasty meal. Fish that are not spawning will hold in areas near the spawning fish and sometimes even travel with migrating fish for the opportunity to eat their misplaced eggs.
