Andy Carlson, a fly fishing guide on the Bitterroot River in Montana originated the Purple Haze fly pattern. It closely resembles a Parachute Adams with a purple body. This has been a very effective pattern in Montana and has become a popular dry fly in general. It is used to match Blue Wing Olives, Mahogany Duns, Green Drakes, and Tricos.

Stonefly Nymph, Rubber Legs, Black

Stonefly Nymph, Rubber Legs, Black

Your price: $1.50

When big and buggy is what you're after this popular Black Rubber Leg Stonefly Nymph Fly fits the profile. Big fish often inhale stonefly nymphs until they simply can't eat any more. Going with something big and visible with lifelike wriggling legs can often entice that big trout to try to fit just one more in his belly.

Callibaetis, Parachute, Partridge Post

Callibaetis, Parachute, Partridge Post

Your price: $1.50

The Partridge Post Parachute Callibaetis is both a realistic imitation of an adult callibaetis mayfly and, at the same time, is visible for anglers. Casting to cruising gulpers on big lakes or slow moving rivers where Callibaetis are abundant is an absolute blast and the Partridge Post Callibaetis is as close to a sure thing as you get for imitating these lake hatching mayflies.
